Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PawVault (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use PawVault.

2. The Service

PawVault is a pet care organization platform that lets you store pet health records, documents, care routines, and reminders, and share them with helpers, family members, and veterinarians via owner-controlled links.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect paid features.

3. Not Veterinary Advice

PawVault is a record-keeping and organization tool. Nothing in the Service — including vaccine schedules, reminders, or quiz results — constitutes veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a licensed veterinarian about your pet's health. In an emergency, contact an emergency vet clinic immediately.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you store, and for who you share your links with. Sharing links grant read (and in some cases task-confirmation) access to anyone who holds them — treat them like keys.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

PawVault offers a free tier and a paid subscription, PawVault Plus, priced in Hong Kong dollars at HK$268 per year (see the Pricing page for current details).

Plus subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial and can cancel anytime before it ends. After the trial, your subscription renews automatically until cancelled.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Cancelling stops future renewals; fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to access other users' data, uploading malicious files, scraping the Service, impersonating others, or using PawVault for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the Service or other users.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the records, photos, and documents you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service (including showing it to people you share links with).

You can export your data or delete your account at any time. Deleted account data is removed within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not liable for decisions made based on information stored in or shared through the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using PawVault and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for breach of these terms, with notice where practicable.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
